Peeden wins heat race at Bloomington Speedway
In his first race at Bloomington Speedway in two years, Steve Peeden put on a show for the crowd winning his heat race, and leading most of the feature.

Peeden started third in the first heat race. After taking the green flag, Peeden raced his way to the front, taking the lead within the first three or four laps....and stayed there the rest of the race.

It was Peeden and Greg Amick on the front of the feature, with Peeden racing out front at the green. After each of the three cautions, Jack Frye tried to take Peeden on the inside on turn one, but Peeden pulled away. During the restart on lap 16, Peeden's motor overheated. Not wanting to blow the new motor, he was forced to pull off of the track, finishing 15th for the night.

Peeden wins first heat race this season at Paragon Speedway

Steve Peeden started off the 2009 season at Paragon Speedway with bang, battling the #11 Chris Hillman for the heat race win. Peeden started on the pole, with Hillman right beside him. The two took off from the pack, battling for the lead at each and every turn. As luck would have it, Peeden came out of turn four with just enough to pass Hillman for heat race win.

Peeden started 6th in the feature. With the dusty track conditions and several cautions, Peeden was able to 4th in the "train race" of a feature.

Peeden takes Checkered Flag three times in a row at Paragon Speedway
On Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, Steve Peeden won his third feature in a row at Paragon Speedway, bringing his total to 5 wins in 6 races at Paragon. Starting on the pole of the second heat race, Peeden held off Tony Anderson and Jerry Adams and won the heat.

Because Peeden had already won two in a row, rules state that he had to be handicapped and couldn't start any better than 10th position in the feature. Peeden wasn't worried, especially since he had won the last feature after starting in 10th.

After taking the green flag, Peeden worked his way around a few cars before making it to the top of the track. After four laps, Peeden was leading the pack. Although a few cautions caused the field to catch back up, there was no stopping Peeden on winning three in a row.

Fourth Vicotry in Five Races at Paragon Speedway

Rowdy Bunch

On Saturday, Sept. 6, Steve Peeden claimed his fourth victory in five races at Paragon Speedway's Dirt Stock Nationals. Starting 7th in the second heat, Peeden worked his way up to the front, finishing 4th.

In the main event, Peeden started in 10th position for the 25 lap feature. After battling several cars for track position, Peeden worked his way to the front, passing Joe Lucas, Mike Vest and Brad Cummings for the 2nd place position.

After a caution late in the race, it was a three lap shootout for the win between Peeden and Bloomington's Danny Harris. The two were side-by-side when the white flag was thrown. The two battled for the win through every turn, with Peeden coming out of turn four almost a car length ahead of Harris.

Peeden was welcomed into victory lane with a grandstand full of fans on their feet, as several other drivers pulled up beside Peeden to give him a thumbs up.
