Peeden started on the front row of the feature, next to the #71 of Brad Cummings. After taking the green flag, Cummings would jump out front of the pack, with Peeden and Hobbs in tow. As Peeden closed in on Cummings, Hobbs would attempt to take the second place position unsuccessfully.
